There are moments in life that change everything. For many people, that moment arrives when they confront their own mortality.
That's exactly what happened to David Summers (Hombres G), one of the longest-serving artists in Spanish rock.
With nearly 4,000 concerts under his belt and decades on stage, his life was marked by constant travel, stress, responsibility, and, as he himself admits, bouts of anxiety.
A life, in short, that took its toll. Until he decided enough was enough.
That's when his new journey began, focusing on health, exercise, and healthy habits, all with the goal of living longer and better.

His father, the renowned filmmaker Manolo Summers, passed away at just 58 years old. And for David, that date became a kind of countdown that redefined his relationship with life and health.
Upon reaching that age and "living one more day" than his father had, something clicked in his mind.
He made a decision: "No more buying tickets to get sick." This realization brought a profound lifestyle transformation.
He quit smoking, started training daily (practicing boxing three times a week and weightlifting two other days) and completely overhauled his diet.
His new motto became "exercise, diet, and rock & roll".
One of the most revealing aspects of his story is the importance he places on mental health as the foundation of everything else.
And he's right. Science supports the fact that chronic stress and anxiety weaken the immune system, disrupt sleep, and accelerate cellular aging.
Learning to prioritize, even consciously disconnecting from things that drain our energy without giving anything back, isn't a luxury: it's a basic need.
After meeting Diego Suárez, David Summers incorporated COEUS's advice, treatments, and supplements into his daily life.
While it wasn't a magic solution, it was a commitment to his own health and longevity, supported by a scientific foundation and pioneering Retroaging studies. This long-term protocol, combined with more exercise and a better diet, produces visible and measurable results.
Today, he can jump around at concerts lasting several hours without getting tired, he has more energy than he did six years ago, and he admits to feeling, quite literally, younger. All of this only works when there's a genuine shift in mindset behind it.
Three principles emerge from his story that anyone can apply:
Live in the present: The past won't return, and the future hasn't arrived yet. The only time you can act is now.
Take care of your body like the vehicle for your soul: As he himself says, "It's the only one we have, and if it's dented or out of gas, you're not going to get anywhere."
Prioritize without guilt: Your health and well-being are more important than any external noise. Knowing when to disconnect isn't giving up; it's protecting yourself.
David Summers' story is that of someone who, at a certain point, decided he wanted to go far and go well. And he acted accordingly.
