Nacho Abad | Health is life, and without health there is nothing

At 20, you think you're immortal

Don't worry, it happens to all of us. But… what if we told you that, at 55, the film changes completely?

That's what Nacho Abad tells us — one of Spain's most recognised journalists and our first guest in COEUS Supplements' new section: "Tiempo vivido" (Time Lived), a space where different celebrities shed their masks and filters to speak with us frankly about how they relate to their health, life and time.

Now and always, every second counts

For Nacho, at his age, mortality feels "closer".

Suddenly, health stops being something you want but keep putting off, and becomes the only thing that matters.

In this interview, Nacho shares a clear idea: when health, family or partner, and work all converge in harmony, everything works.

Nacho Abad's keys

  1. The brain and body are a package: work stimulates the brain, but you also need to seek intellectual challenges. And if you combine it with strength training and cardio, you take your routine to another level.
  2. Today you can't be bothered, but tomorrow you'll be grateful: building healthy habits is a process that takes time and patience. In fact, Nacho Abad himself admits something that has happened to all of us: you don't always feel like going to the gym, but the result pays off mentally and physically.
  3. Your stress is a warning, not a trophy: Nacho describes how he has suffered from stress, and also how the years teach you to handle it better. Learning to "take things less seriously", digest frustration better and find spaces of calm helps you live with more balance and presence.
  4. Put your health above all else: do you have a work meeting? Health comes first. Are there a thousand commitments? Health comes first. And so on. Remember that the day after you retire they may well forget about you, while your body will be with you for the rest of your life.
  5. Saying "no" is saying "yes" to yourself: knowing how to filter and reject what doesn't add value will help you gain time, eliminate distractions and dedicate yourself body, mind and soul to what truly matters.

In summary

In the end, everything comes back to the same starting point: it's not just about living more years, but about living them with full physical and mental energy, and also presence.
